FAQs

Ayurvedic pharmaceutics (ghṛta-kalpanā): it prescribes a medicated ghee based on pañcagavya, fortified with specific bitter/astringent herbs (neem, guduchi, triphala, etc.) for managing kuṣṭha (chronic skin disorders).

It shows the Agni Purana functioning as a compendium beyond mythology—preserving practical Ayurvedic recipes (herbal combinations, vehicles like ghṛta, and disease-specific yogas) alongside ritual, dharma, and other sciences.

Pañcagavya is traditionally viewed as purificatory; when framed within Purāṇic Ayurveda, using such remedies aligns bodily healing with śauca (purity) and dhārmic self-care, supporting a life fit for ritual practice and right conduct.
