इत्य् आदिमहापुराणे आग्नेये रामायणे युद्धकाण्डवर्णनं नाम दशमो ऽध्यायः अथ एकादशो ऽध्यायः श्रीरामावतारवर्णनं नारद उवाच राज्यस्थं राघवं जग्मुर् अगस्त्याद्याः सुपूजिताः धन्यस्त्वं विजयी यस्माद् इन्द्रजिद्विनिपातितः
ity ādimahāpurāṇe āgneye rāmāyaṇe yuddhakāṇḍavarṇanaṃ nāma daśamo 'dhyāyaḥ atha ekādaśo 'dhyāyaḥ śrīrāmāvatāravarṇanaṃ nārada uvāca rājyasthaṃ rāghavaṃ jagmur agastyādyāḥ supūjitāḥ dhanyastvaṃ vijayī yasmād indrajidvinipātitaḥ
یوں آدِی مہاپُران، اگنی پُران کے رامائن-پرسنگ میں ‘یُدھّ کانڈ ورنن’ نامی دسویں ادھیائے کا اختتام ہوا۔ اب ‘شری رام اوتار ورنن’ نامی گیارھواں ادھیائے شروع ہوتا ہے۔ نارَد نے کہا—جب راگھو (رام) راج میں مستقر تھے تو اگستیہ وغیرہ رِشی، بخوبی پوجے جا کر، اُن کے پاس آئے۔ اے فاتح، تو مبارک ہے، کیونکہ اندرَجِت گرا دیا گیا ہے۔
