भूर्लोको ऽथ भुवर्लोकः स्वर्लोको ऽथ महर् जनः तपश् च ब्रह्मलोकश् च ब्रह्माण्डम् अखिलं शुभे
bhūrloko 'tha bhuvarlokaḥ svarloko 'tha mahar janaḥ tapaś ca brahmalokaś ca brahmāṇḍam akhilaṃ śubhe
O mapalad, ang Bhūr-loka, Bhuvar-loka, Svarga-loka, at saka Maharloka, Janaloka, Tapoloka, at Brahmaloka—ang lahat ng ito, na nakaayos sa mga antas, ang bumubuo sa buong brahmāṇḍa.
Sage Parāśara (addressing Maitreya)
They present the classical Purāṇic vertical structure of the universe, showing how the brahmāṇḍa is organized into ascending realms from Bhūr up to Brahmaloka.
He enumerates the major upper worlds in sequence, framing them collectively as the complete brahmāṇḍa—an ordered totality rather than unrelated regions.
Even when Vishnu is not named in the line, the Vishnu Purana’s cosmology functions as an expression of divine sovereignty—an intelligible cosmic order ultimately grounded in the Supreme Reality identified with Vishnu.
