Type: kshetra
Listener: dvija-s (addressed contextually in the section)
Scene: A devotee in Dvārakā offers a pavitra (sacred thread/garland) to Kṛṣṇa’s image while performing reverent worship; in the background, subtle ancestral figures receive satisfaction, and the sea-breeze and temple lamps frame the rite.
Devotion to Viṣṇu supports both the living and the departed—worship becomes a bridge of grace to one’s lineage.
The instruction is embedded in the Dvārakā-māhātmya, implying these observances gain special potency in Dvārakā.
In Nabhas month, perform full worship and offer the pavitra (pavitrāropaṇa/pavitropana), yielding akṣaya pitṛ-tṛpti and fulfilled wishes.
