निधाय वाससी तत्र मृदमालभ्य गोमयम् । शिखां च बद्ध्वा करयोः कृत्वा च नियतः कुशान्
nidhāya vāsasī tatra mṛdamālabhya gomayam | śikhāṃ ca baddhvā karayoḥ kṛtvā ca niyataḥ kuśān
Doon ay isinantabi niya ang kanyang kasuotan, kumuha ng lupa at dumi ng baka para sa ritwal na paglilinis. Itinali niya ang śikhā, at sa mahigpit na pag-iingat, inihanda ang damong kuśa sa kanyang mga kamay para sa seremonya.
