Type: kshetra
Listener: Ṛṣayaḥ
Scene: Brahmā addresses the sages with a gentle, paternal expression, one hand raised in inquiry; sages sit attentively with staffs and waterpots; sacred fires implied nearby.
Dharma includes truthful speech and responsible care for one’s lineage, disciples, sacred rites, and relationships.
The chapter belongs to Dvārakā Māhātmya, but this verse is a conversational prelude rather than a tīrtha-glorification statement.
No new rite is prescribed; “agni” indicates continuity of maintained sacred fires as part of āśrama-dharma.
