संप्रविश्यान्नमध्ये तु पृथगन्नपृथग्जलम् । अग्नेरूर्ध्वं जलं स्थाप्य तदन्नं तज्जलोपरि
saṃpraviśyānnamadhye tu pṛthagannapṛthagjalam | agnerūrdhvaṃ jalaṃ sthāpya tadannaṃ tajjalopari
Pumapasok ito sa bunton ng pagkain at inihihiwalay ang pagkain sa tubig. Inilalagay nito ang tubig sa ibabaw ng apoy ng pagtunaw, at ang pagkain naman sa ibabaw ng tubig na iyon.
