न विद्यया केवलया तपसा वापि पात्रता । यत्र वृत्तिमिमे चोभे तद्वि पात्रं प्रचक्षते
na vidyayā kevalayā tapasā vāpi pātratā | yatra vṛttimime cobhe tadvi pātraṃ pracakṣate
Ang pagiging karapat-dapat tumanggap ng kaloob ay hindi nagmumula sa pagkatuto lamang, ni sa pag-aayuno at pagpapakasakit lamang. Ang tinatawag na tunay na tatanggap (pātra) ay yaong pinagsasama ang wastong asal at ang mga katangiang ito.
