Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) narrating; Rudra is quoted
Tirtha: Mahākāla-liṅga (contextual)
Type: kshetra
Listener: The devotee/royal sage (contextually Karaṃdhama)
Scene: Inside a sanctum: Rudra, having spoken, dissolves into a radiant liṅga at the center; the devotee stands with folded hands, receiving the final instruction and promise of Śiva’s world; lamps flicker as the form becomes pure light.
Dharma taught by Śiva culminates in liberation-oriented devotion—attaining Śiva’s abode through righteous living and worship.
The passage centers on the Mahākāla/Śiva Liṅga tradition within the Kaumārikākhaṇḍa’s sacred geography.
No specific rite is prescribed here; it emphasizes Śiva’s dharma-upadeśa and the sanctity of the Liṅga as the locus of presence.
