Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 173
निःसृत्य जलकल्लोलपूर्विका स्कंदमाययौ । स च संताडितः शक्त्या विभिन्नहृदयोसुरः । नादयन्वसुधां सर्वां पपातायोमुखो मृतः
niḥsṛtya jalakallolapūrvikā skaṃdamāyayau | sa ca saṃtāḍitaḥ śaktyā vibhinnahṛdayosuraḥ | nādayanvasudhāṃ sarvāṃ papātāyomukho mṛtaḥ
Sumiklab na parang alon ng tubig, sumugod si Ayomukha kay Skanda. Ngunit nang tamaan ng banal na Sibat (Śakti), nabiyak ang puso ng asura; umuungal na umalingawngaw sa buong daigdig, bumagsak si Ayomukha at namatay.
