स्कंदप्रसादजः पुत्रो लोहिताक्षो भयंकरः । एष वीराष्टकः प्रोक्तः स्कंदमातृगणोऽद्भुतः
skaṃdaprasādajaḥ putro lohitākṣo bhayaṃkaraḥ | eṣa vīrāṣṭakaḥ proktaḥ skaṃdamātṛgaṇo'dbhutaḥ
Mula sa biyaya ni Skanda ay isinilang ang isang anak—si Lohitākṣa, kakila-kilabot ang anyo. Ito ang ipinahayag na ‘walong pangkat ng mga bayani’, ang kamangha-manghang pulutong ng mga Ina ni Skanda.
