Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 11

त्रैलोक्यदानवान्सर्वान्दग्धुं शक्तः क्षणादहम् । दुर्जस्तारकः किं तु मुक्त्वा सप्तदिनं शिशुम्

Transliteration

trailokyadānavānsarvāndagdhuṃ śaktaḥ kṣaṇādaham | durjastārakaḥ kiṃ tu muktvā saptadinaṃ śiśum

Translation

“Kaya kong sunugin sa isang kisap ang lahat ng mga Dānava sa tatlong daigdig. Ngunit ang Tāraka na mahirap daigin—pagkaraang palayain ang sanggol na pitong araw pa lamang—ay nananatiling natatanging kaso.”
