। व्यास उवाच । श्रूयतां नृपशार्दूल कथां पौराणिकीं शुभाम् । यां श्रुत्वा सर्वपापेभ्यो मुच्यते नात्र संशयः
| vyāsa uvāca | śrūyatāṃ nṛpaśārdūla kathāṃ paurāṇikīṃ śubhām | yāṃ śrutvā sarvapāpebhyo mucyate nātra saṃśayaḥ
Sinabi ni Vyāsa: O tigre sa mga hari, pakinggan ang mapalad na salaysay na Purāṇiko; sa pakikinig nito, napapalaya ang tao sa lahat ng kasalanan—walang pag-aalinlangan dito.
