याज्ञवल्क्यः । अरोगिणीं भ्रातृमतीमसमानार्षगोत्रजाम् । पंचमात्सप्तमार्दूर्ध्वं मातृतः पितृत स्तथा

Transliteration

yājñavalkyaḥ | arogiṇīṃ bhrātṛmatīmasamānārṣagotrajām | paṃcamātsaptamārdūrdhvaṃ mātṛtaḥ pitṛta stathā

Translation

Sabi ni Yājñavalkya: Dapat pakasalan ang isang dalagang malusog, may mga kapatid na lalaki, at isinilang sa ibang linya ng ṛṣi (ārṣa-gotra). Pinahihintulutan ang pag-aasawa lampas sa ikalima at hanggang ikapito ang antas—sa panig ng ina at gayundin sa panig ng ama, ayon sa turo.
