Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 31
शिवपूजांतरायो मे जातोद्य बत पाप्मनः । पूजां विना क्षणमपि नाहं जीवितुमुत्सहे
śivapūjāṃtarāyo me jātodya bata pāpmanaḥ | pūjāṃ vinā kṣaṇamapi nāhaṃ jīvitumutsahe
“Ay, dahil sa aking kasalanan, may hadlang na sumapit ngayon sa aking pagsamba kay Śiva. Kung walang pūjā, ni isang sandali’y wala akong loob na mabuhay.”
