Frequently Asked Questions

The pinv- (swelling) formulas ritually intensify the offering’s potency, and the repeated Indra-sealing (‘indra-vat’) fixes that increase as victorious strength and stability within the sacrifice.

By naming the offering as these metres, the rite is ‘clothed’ in chandas-power—meter becomes a stabilizing form that seats tejas correctly and makes the act reliably efficacious.

They extend the chapter’s logic of increase and protection into lineage: the sacrifice’s benefits are secured by honoring the Pitṛs, affirming that light, prosperity, and order rest on ancestral continuity and obligation.
