Rudrākṣa Māhātmya — The Greatness of Rudraksha
छिन्नं खंडितं भिन्नं विदीर्ण । ततो वैश्यैर्धार्यं प्रतिदिवसभावश्यकमहो तथा कृष्णं शूद्रै ः श्रुतिगदितमार्गोयमगजे
chinnaṃ khaṃḍitaṃ bhinnaṃ vidīrṇa | tato vaiśyairdhāryaṃ pratidivasabhāvaśyakamaho tathā kṛṣṇaṃ śūdrai ḥ śrutigaditamārgoyamagaje
Kung ito’y maputol, madurog sa pira-piraso, mahati, o mabiyak, kung gayon ang banal na pagtalima ng mga Śaiva ay dapat panibaguhin at ingatan nang wasto—tunay na parang pang-araw-araw na kailangan—ng mga Vaiśya; at gayundin, ang mga Śūdra ay dapat magpanatili ng payak (madilim) na anyo nito, ayon sa landas na ipinahayag ng Śruti, O Agaja (Gaṇeśa).
