देव्युवाच । सत्यं वदसि भो दूत नानृतं किंचिदुच्यते । परन्त्वेका कृता पूर्वं प्रतिज्ञा तान्निबोध मे

Sinabi ng Diyosa: "O sugo, nagsasabi ka ng katotohanan; wala ni katiting na kasinungalingan ang binigkas. Gayunpaman, mas maaga ay gumawa ako ng isang panata—ngayon ay unawain mo iyon mula sa akin."
