गरुडस्तु स्वयं वक्ता यत्तद्गारुडसंज्ञकम् । ब्रह्माण्डचरितोक्तत्वाद्ब्रह्माण्डं परिकीर्तितम्

Transliteration

garuḍastu svayaṃ vaktā yattadgāruḍasaṃjñakam | brahmāṇḍacaritoktatvādbrahmāṇḍaṃ parikīrtitam

Translation

Sapagkat si Garuḍa mismo ang tagapagsalaysay, ang bahaging iyon ay tinatawag na “Gāruḍa.” At yamang isinasalaysay nito ang kasaysayan ng Brahmāṇḍa (ang kosmikong itlog/sansinukob), ito’y ipinupuri bilang “Brahmāṇḍa.”
