तव नामानुरक्ता वाग्यस्य पुंसो जगत्पते । अप्यद्रिकूटतुलितं नैनस्तमनुबाधते
tava nāmānuraktā vāgyasya puṃso jagatpate | apyadrikūṭatulitaṃ nainastamanubādhate
O Panginoon ng sanlibutan, para sa taong ang pananalita ay tapat na nakaugnay sa Iyong Banal na Pangalan, kahit ang kasalanang nakatambak na parang tuktok ng bundok ay hindi siya makapipinsala.

Significance: Nāma-bhakti (devotion to Śiva’s Name) is presented as a purifier that neutralizes even vast accumulated pāpa; the verse functions as a general tīrtha-of-the-Name teaching rather than a site-specific māhātmya.

It teaches that Nāma-bhakti—speech and remembrance anchored in Shiva’s Name—burns accumulated pāpa and weakens bondage (pāśa), turning the devotee toward Shiva’s grace and liberation.
In Saguna worship, the Linga is honored as Shiva’s accessible form, and Nāma-japa is a primary limb of devotion; by repeating Shiva’s Name before the Linga, the devotee purifies karma and becomes fit for Shiva’s anugraha.
Steady Shiva Nāma-japa—especially the Panchakshara “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—with disciplined speech, ideally alongside simple Linga-pūjā (water offering, bilva leaves) as a daily purificatory practice.
