Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Sthala Purana: Mentions a city Bhadravaṭa as the locus of Śiva’s manifestation named Sahiṣṇu; no explicit Jyotirliṅga identification is given in this verse alone.
Significance: Highlights kṣānti/forbearance (sahiṣṇutā) as a divine attribute embodied for the benefit of souls—ethical sādhana aligned with receiving grace.
Cosmic Event: Age-cycle forecasting (26th turn)
The verse presents a prophetic identification of a divine manifestation by a specific name and location, emphasizing Shiva’s compassionate presence across cycles of time to re-establish dharma and guide souls (paśu) toward liberation under the Lord (Pati).
By declaring a recognizable name and earthly locale, the text points to Saguna Shiva—Shiva approachable through form, name, and sacred place—supporting devotional worship that culminates in inner realization of Shiva beyond limitation.
While no specific rite is stated, the practical takeaway is nāma-smaraṇa (remembrance of Shiva’s name) with bhakti; devotees may pair this with Panchakshara japa ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") as a Shaiva Siddhanta-aligned daily discipline.
