एतस्मिन्नन्तरे दृष्ट्वा स्त्रियो दानवपुंगवाः । अनयन्नमृतोद्भूता यथास्थानं यथासुखम्
etasminnantare dṛṣṭvā striyo dānavapuṃgavāḥ | anayannamṛtodbhūtā yathāsthānaṃ yathāsukham
Samantala, nang makita ang mga babae, ang mga pangunahing Dānava—yaong mga lumitaw kaugnay ng (pagkakamit sa) amṛta—ay inakay sila palayo, bawat isa sa nararapat niyang pook, ayon sa ginhawa at kaayusan.

It portrays how beings driven by desire and possession move toward what pleases them, reminding the seeker—per Shaiva Siddhanta—to cultivate viveka (discernment) and not be carried away by transient attractions, but to turn toward Shiva, the stable Pati (Lord).
By contrast: while the Dānavas pursue comfort and outward enjoyment, Saguna Shiva worship (Linga-upāsanā) trains the mind to redirect attention from external allure to Shiva’s auspicious form, leading the devotee from restlessness to steadiness.
A practical takeaway is sense-restraint supported by japa—especially the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—along with simple daily Shaiva observances (bhasma/Tripuṇḍra and mindful worship) to keep the mind from being dragged by desire.
