Bāṇa’s Renewed Engagement in Battle
Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Role: nurturing
It highlights the post-conflict restoration of harmony: reassurance, reunion of spouses, and the lawful acceptance of restitution—an ethic aligned with dharma after the turbulence of war.
Though not explicitly about Liṅga worship, it sits within a Shaiva narrative where Saguna Shiva’s governance of justice and protection of devotees frames the resolution; peace and right conduct are presented as signs of Shiva’s ordered grace in the world.
No specific rite is prescribed in this verse; the practical takeaway is to cultivate śānti (calm reassurance) and dhārmic conduct after conflict—supported by japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” for steadiness of mind.
