शुक्रनिग्रहः — The Seizure/Neutralization of Śukra (Kāvya) and the Daityas’ Despondency
स वर्षाणां शतं कुक्षौ भवस्य परितो भ्रमन् । न तस्य ददृशे रन्ध्रं शुचे रंध्रं खलो यथा
sa varṣāṇāṃ śataṃ kukṣau bhavasya parito bhraman | na tasya dadṛśe randhraṃ śuce raṃdhraṃ khalo yathā
Sa loob ng isang daang taon, siya’y gumala sa paligid sa loob ng tiyan ni Bhava (Śiva); ngunit ni munting siwang ay hindi niya nakita—gaya ng masamang tao na bagaman balisa, ay hindi makahanap ng butas sa taong walang kapintasan at laging mapagmatyag.

It teaches that Pati (Śiva) is inescapable and all-encompassing: ego-driven striving cannot find a “gap” in the Lord’s order; only humility and surrender open the way to grace and release.
Bhava here is Saguna Śiva—personally present and sovereign. Linga-worship trains the devotee to see Śiva as the inner support of all worlds, leaving no ‘outside’ where one can hide from dharma or divine will.
A practical takeaway is japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with repentance and surrender, paired with simple Śiva-pūjā (bilva offering and Tripuṇḍra/bhasma remembrance) to dissolve the urge to evade inner discipline.
