Vīraka’s Victory over Andhaka’s Forces

Tattva Level: pati
Shakti Form: Gaurī
Role: destructive
The verse highlights Śakti (Gaurī) as the divine power that safeguards dharma—her “wondrous battle” signifies that when consciousness (Śiva) is honored, divine power (Śakti) naturally overcomes hostile forces such as pride and violence.
Though the scene is martial, it supports Saguna devotion: devotees remember Shiva together with Shakti—Linga worship in the Shiva Purana is fulfilled when one reveres the inseparable Shiva–Shakti principle, where Gaurī embodies the active grace of the Lord.
A practical takeaway is Shiva–Shakti smaraṇa with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), cultivating inner courage and clarity—fighting the ‘enemy’ of ego and tamas through steady mantra-focused awareness.
