Chapter on the Ordinance of Initiation
शिवाज्ञयोच्यते तात गच्छ त्वं त्रिपुरं द्रुतम् । ऋषिस्तत्र गतः शिष्यैर्मोहार्थं तत्सुवासिनाम्
śivājñayocyate tāta gaccha tvaṃ tripuraṃ drutam | ṛṣistatra gataḥ śiṣyairmohārthaṃ tatsuvāsinām
“Minamahal, ayon sa utos ni Śiva ay sinasabi ko sa iyo: magtungo ka agad sa Tripura. May isang rishi na nagtungo roon kasama ang kanyang mga alagad, upang iligaw sa pagkalito ang mga naninirahan sa lungsod na iyon.”

It shows Śiva as the supreme governor (Pati) whose command directs events; “bewilderment” here functions as a divine corrective—breaking the residents’ arrogance and attachment so dharma can be restored.
By emphasizing Śiva’s ājñā (sovereign will) operating within the world, it supports Saguna worship: devotees approach Śiva as the active Lord who guides, protects, and subdues delusion—qualities contemplated in Linga-upāsanā.
A practical takeaway is to pray for the removal of moha through japa of the Panchākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—with a focus on surrender to Śiva’s will (ājñā) and clarity of discernment.
