(Tripura-varṇanam) — “Description of Tripura”

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: teaching
It teaches that dharma is not merely social rule or ritual formality; its divine power is fulfilled when it is aligned with Śiva—the supreme Pati—so that duties become a means toward purity, grace, and liberation.
By implying that all scriptural dharmas culminate in Śiva’s favor, it supports Saguna worship—such as Liṅga-pūjā—as a central, unifying practice through which Vedic and Puranic injunctions become spiritually effective.
A practical takeaway is to perform one’s prescribed dharma with Śiva-bhakti—daily Liṅga worship and japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya)—so that actions are consecrated to Śiva rather than done for mere worldly merit.
