It highlights purity (snāna) and nitya-karma as the dharmic foundation for life’s major transitions; in a Shaiva frame, disciplined daily duty purifies the pashu (bound soul) and supports steadiness for devotion and eventual grace.
Though the verse describes social dharma, it reflects the Shaiva ideal that outer order (daily rites, purity, lawful marriage) stabilizes the mind and senses, making one fit for Saguna Shiva worship—such as Linga-puja with mantra and regulated conduct.
Daily स्नान (ritual bath) and नित्यविधि (regular worship/recitation and obligatory rites) are implied; as a Shaiva takeaway, one may add Linga-puja with the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namah Shivaya) as part of the daily regimen.
