कामप्रभावः (कामा॑स्य प्रभाववर्णनम्) — The Power of Kāma and the (Ineffective) Attempt to Delude Śiva
उपायं स चकाराति तत्र मारगणोऽपि च । मोहोभवन्न वै शंभोरपि कश्चित्परात्मनः
upāyaṃ sa cakārāti tatra māragaṇo'pi ca | mohobhavanna vai śaṃbhorapi kaścitparātmanaḥ
Doon ay gumawa siya ng isang pakana, at nagtipon din roon ang mga pangkat ni Māra. Ngunit kay Śambhu—ang Kataas-taasang Sarili—walang anumang pagkalito ang sumibol, sapagkat walang makalilinlang sa Kanya.

It affirms Śiva as Parātman (Pati), eternally free from moha; delusion belongs to bound souls (paśu) under bonds (pāśa), not to the Supreme Lord.
Linga-worship approaches the transcendent Parātman through a sacred form; this verse reminds devotees that the One worshipped is never overcome by māyā, even when He appears in worldly narratives.
Meditate on Śiva as the untouched witness (Parātman) while japa of the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—to reduce moha and align the mind with His steadiness.
