दधीचाश्रमगमनम् — Viṣṇu’s Disguise and Dadhīca’s Fearlessness
Kṣu’s Request
ब्रह्मोवाच । इत्याकर्ण्य वचस्तस्य राज्ञस्सुरगणस्य हि । अनुजग्राह तं विप्रो दधीचस्तपसां निधिः
brahmovāca | ityākarṇya vacastasya rājñassuragaṇasya hi | anujagrāha taṃ vipro dadhīcastapasāṃ nidhiḥ
Wika ni Brahmā: Nang marinig ang mga salitang iyon ng haring pinuno ng mga pangkat ng mga diyos, ang brahmanang pantas na si Dadhīca—isang di-mauubos na yaman ng pag-aayuno at tapa—ay nagkaloob ng biyaya at mahinahong pumayag.

The verse highlights that true spiritual power (tapas) matures into anugraha—graceful consent to dharma. In Shaiva understanding, disciplined austerity purifies the pashu (bound soul) and makes one a fit instrument for divine purpose rather than personal gain.
Though the Linga is not named here, the Shaiva frame is clear: devas and sages succeed not merely by force, but by purity, restraint, and grace—qualities central to Saguna Shiva worship, where devotion and right conduct invite Shiva’s supportive presence in cosmic order.
