This is a concluding colophon marking the completion of a chapter; spiritually, it frames the narrative as śāstra—authoritative sacred transmission—so the listener approaches the teaching with śraddhā (reverent attention) and sees events (such as omens) as pointers within Shiva’s cosmic order rather than mere chance.
While it does not directly prescribe Linga worship, it situates the teaching within the Rudra Saṃhitā of the Śiva Purāṇa, whose narratives consistently orient the devotee toward Saguna Shiva (Śiva with attributes) as the compassionate Lord guiding devotees through signs, dharma, and inner awakening.
No specific rite is stated in this colophon; as a practical takeaway, one may conclude the chapter with remembrance of Shiva—japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and a brief prayer for discernment (viveka) when facing auspicious or inauspicious signs.
