कामशापानुग्रहः (Kāmaśāpānugraha) — “The Curse and Grace Concerning Kāma”
अथ भावयुतां संध्यां वीक्ष्याकार्षं प्रजापतिः । धर्माभिपूरित तनुरभिलाषमहं मुने
atha bhāvayutāṃ saṃdhyāṃ vīkṣyākārṣaṃ prajāpatiḥ | dharmābhipūrita tanurabhilāṣamahaṃ mune
Pagkaraan, si Prajāpati (Brahmā), nang makita si Sandhyā na puspos ng mapang-akit na ganda, ay nahila sa loob ng puso patungo sa kanya. O pantas, bagaman ang kanyang katawan ay napupuno ng diwa ng dharma, sumibol pa rin sa kanya ang pagnanasa.

It highlights that even exalted cosmic authorities can be touched by kāma (desire), showing how bondage (pāśa) can arise and why discipline and ultimately Shiva’s grace are essential for purity and liberation.
By illustrating the instability of the mind under desire, the verse implicitly points to Saguna Shiva worship—such as Linga-pūjā—as a stabilizing sādhana that purifies impulses and reorients the seeker toward Pati (Shiva) rather than worldly attraction.
The practical takeaway is sense-restraint supported by daily Shiva-upāsanā—japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), along with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as reminders of vairāgya and inner purity.
