Satī Inquires about the Departure for Dakṣa’s Sacrifice
Brahma
Tattva Level: pashu
It highlights dhārmic communication: truthfulness (satya) and proper conduct (yathocitam) even in divine affairs—qualities aligned with Shaiva ethics that purify the mind for devotion to Pati (Śiva).
Though not directly about Liṅga worship, it sets the narrative tone of disciplined, respectful action—an essential inner attitude (bhāva) for Saguna Śiva worship, where outer ritual is supported by purity of speech and intention.
The implied practice is satya and śaucācāra (truthful, proper conduct) as a daily vrata; as a devotional takeaway, one may pair this with steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” to stabilize speech and mind.
