अहं शप्तो न चेदानीं तत्त्वतो बोद्धुमर्हसि । शान्तो भव महाधीमन्सनकादिविबोधकः
ahaṃ śapto na cedānīṃ tattvato boddhumarhasi | śānto bhava mahādhīmansanakādivibodhakaḥ
Kung hindi lamang ako nasa ilalim ng sumpa, ikaw sana ngayon ay karapat-dapat makabatid ng Katotohanan sa pinakadiwa nito. O dakilang-isip—magpayapa ka; ikaw ang gumigising kay Sanaka at sa iba pang mga rishi.

Tattva Level: pasha
The verse highlights that realization of tattva (ultimate Reality) requires inner eligibility and freedom from limiting conditions; it also teaches śānti (calmness) as a prerequisite for true insight—central to Shaiva pursuit of moksha through Shiva’s grace.
Lingārcana and Saguna Shiva worship purify the mind and loosen pāśa (bondage). The instruction “be peaceful” aligns with approaching the Linga with a settled, receptive consciousness, making one fit to grasp Shiva-tattva beyond mere ritual.
Practice śānti through japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with steady breath and a calm mind; this inner composure supports deeper understanding of Shiva-tattva and complements bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa observances.
