नन्दाव्रत-समाप्तिः तथा शङ्करस्य प्रत्यक्ष-दर्शनम्
Completion of the Nandā-vrata and Śiva’s Direct Appearance
ब्रह्मोवाच । यदात्थ भगवञ्शम्भो तद्विचार्य सुनिश्चितम् । देवानां मुख्यस्स्वार्थो हि ममापि वृषभध्वज
brahmovāca | yadāttha bhagavañśambho tadvicārya suniścitam | devānāṃ mukhyassvārtho hi mamāpi vṛṣabhadhvaja
Wika ni Brahmā: “O pinagpalang Śambhu, pinag-isipan kong mabuti ang Iyong sinabi at ako’y lubos nang natiyak. Tunay, ang pangunahing kapakanan ng mga deva—at maging ang akin, O Panginoong may watawat na may tanda ng toro—ay naroroon.”

The verse shows Brahmā’s submission to Śiva’s higher wisdom: true welfare (svārtha) for even the gods is secured by aligning with Śiva’s will, affirming Śiva as Pati (the supreme Lord) whose guidance leads to auspicious order and spiritual good.
By addressing Śiva as Śambhu and Vṛṣabhadhvaja, Brahmā honors Śiva’s saguna (personal) form and attributes, implying that reverent approach to Śiva—often expressed through Liṅga worship—brings the highest benefit to devas and devotees alike.
The takeaway is contemplative assent (vicāra) followed by firm resolve (suniścaya) in Śiva-bhakti—practically expressed through daily Liṅga pūjā, japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” and maintaining Śiva-centered discipline.
