दक्षस्य तपः तथा जगदम्बायाः प्रत्यक्षता — Dakṣa’s Austerities and the Direct Manifestation of Jagadambā
अंतर्हितायां दुर्गायां स दक्षोपि निजाश्रमम् । जगाम च मुदं लेभे भविष्यति सुतेति सा
aṃtarhitāyāṃ durgāyāṃ sa dakṣopi nijāśramam | jagāma ca mudaṃ lebhe bhaviṣyati suteti sā
Nang maglaho sa paningin si Durgā, si Dakṣa man ay bumalik sa sarili niyang ashram; at siya’y napuspos ng galak, iniisip: “Tunay ngang magiging anak kong babae siya.”

It highlights divine will (Īśvara-saṅkalpa): the Goddess withdraws from ordinary perception, while Dakṣa’s joy reveals how embodied beings interpret the divine through personal desire—setting the stage for Sati’s descent and Shiva’s later teaching through events.
The verse frames the leela that culminates in Shiva’s manifest (saguṇa) dealings with the world; such narratives mature the devotee’s understanding that the formless (nirguṇa) Lord is approached through forms—Linga worship and devotion—within time and destiny.
