Nang marinig mula kay Menakā ang panaginip ng kanilang anak, ang panginoon ng mga bundok (Himālaya) ay labis na nagalak, at sa magiliw na pananalita’y kinausap ang kanyang minamahal na asawa.
Suta Goswami (narrating the Purāṇic account)
Tattva Level: pashu
Cosmic Event: svapna-nimitta (dream as auspicious sign)
It shows how auspicious inner signs (like a dream) can become outward catalysts for dharmic action; the mountain-lord’s joy hints that Parvati’s destiny is aligned with Shiva’s grace, moving the narrative toward her union with Pati (Shiva).
Though the Linga is not named here, the verse functions as narrative preparation for Parvati’s movement toward Saguna Shiva (the personal Lord) through devotion and destined relationship, which culminates in worship, vows, and recognition of Shiva as Pati.
A practical takeaway is attentive śravaṇa (hearing sacred indications) and supportive family dharma—paired with Parvati’s later tapas and mantra-oriented devotion (classically centered on Shiva-bhakti and the Panchakshara) as the proper response to auspicious spiritual prompting.
