It teaches śaraṇāgati (complete surrender): the Divine Mother is praised as Truth itself, and taking refuge in her aligns the devotee with the truth-nature that leads to Shiva’s liberating grace.
In Shaiva tradition, devotion to Parvati (Shakti) supports worship of Saguna Shiva and the Linga, because Shakti is Shiva’s inseparable power; surrender to her steadies the mind in truth and makes Linga-worship fruitful.
Practice bhakti with a refuge-prayer (śaraṇaṃ) before japa—especially Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya)—and meditate on truthfulness (satya) as a vow while worshipping Shiva-Parvati.
