The Arrival of Maheśvara and the Rite of Welcome

The verse highlights Śiva’s orderly, grace-filled movement within divine play (līlā): joy, right inquiry, and timely action occur under His auspicious guidance, showing that the Lord’s will unfolds through both human-like events and transcendent providence.
Śiva is presented as Saguna—personally acting, being accompanied by gaṇas, and proceeding to an indicated place—supporting devotional worship where the devotee relates to the Lord as a present, responsive protector, often approached through Linga-upāsanā as His accessible form.
A practical takeaway is to cultivate śraddhā and follow divine instruction with steadiness—begin worship with the Panchākṣarī ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya"), and maintain purity through simple Shaiva observances like Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and remembrance of Śiva while acting.
