Pārvatī’s Discourse: Establishing Śiva as Parabrahman
अद्यप्रभृति ते दासस्तपोभिः क्रीत एव ते । क्रीतोऽस्मि तवसौन्दर्यात्क्षणमेकं युगाय ते
adyaprabhṛti te dāsastapobhiḥ krīta eva te | krīto'smi tavasaundaryātkṣaṇamekaṃ yugāya te
“Mula sa araw na ito, ako’y iyong lingkod—na wari’y nabili ng sarili kong mga pag-aayuno at pagtitika para sa iyo. Nabihag ng iyong kagandahan, para bang ako’y nabili mo; para sa akin, ang isang saglit na kapiling ka ay nagiging tulad ng isang buong yuga.”

It expresses śaraṇāgati (total surrender): even tapas finds its fulfillment when it becomes humble service offered in love, pointing to grace-centered Shaiva devotion.
Though Shiva is beyond attributes, the Purana highlights Saguna worship—devotion to Shiva with form and qualities—where love, beauty, and intimacy become valid spiritual means, supporting Linga-bhakti as a personal relationship with the Lord.
The takeaway is tapas joined with bhakti: daily japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with disciplined conduct, offered as service to Shiva (and Shiva-Shakti), rather than as mere self-powered achievement.
