Account of Tāraka’s declarations and the battle involving Śakra (Indra), Viṣṇu, and Vīrabhadra

Tattva Level: pasha
It warns that in certain cosmic phases a doctrine may arise that disparages Vedic dharma; from a Shaiva Siddhanta lens, this highlights the need to remain aligned with Shiva as Pati through Veda-grounded worship and right view that supports liberation (moksha).
By affirming the authority of the Vedic path, the verse indirectly supports Veda-consistent Shaiva worship—such as Linga-puja, mantra, and prescribed observances—where Saguna Shiva is approached through sanctioned rites that purify the pashu and loosen pasha.
Adhere to Veda-aligned Shaiva practice: daily japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), Linga abhisheka with purity and devotion, and traditional markers like bhasma (Tripuṇḍra) and Rudraksha when undertaken with proper discipline.
