Description of the Battle between Tāraka and Kumāra
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Bhairava
The verse highlights how adharma-driven power (the Daityas) collapses when confronted by Śiva’s śakti expressed through His Gaṇas; spiritually, it points to the downfall of ego and hostility when the soul meets the Lord’s disciplined divine order (Pati’s governance).
The Gaṇas represent Saguna Śiva’s accessible, protective presence in the world—His living power that safeguards dharma; worship of the Liṅga similarly trains the devotee to take refuge in Śiva as the supreme protector and inner ruler beyond demonic tendencies.
A practical takeaway is refuge through japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with steadiness, along with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) remembrance of impermanence—cultivating fearlessness and surrender to Śiva’s guardianship.
