शर्वोक्तमिति स श्रुत्वा सुविस्मितमना ऋषिः । सुप्रणम्य शिवं भक्त्या सांजलिः पुनरब्रवीत्
śarvoktamiti sa śrutvā suvismitamanā ṛṣiḥ | supraṇamya śivaṃ bhaktyā sāṃjaliḥ punarabravīt
Nang marinig ng pantas ang mga salitang sinabi ni Śarva (Panginoong Śiva), napuno ng pagkamangha ang kanyang isipan. Yumukod siya nang malalim kay Śiva nang may debosyon, at nakatiklop ang mga kamay ay muling nagsalita.

It highlights the Shaiva Siddhanta emphasis on śravaṇa (devotional listening), vismaya (awe), and namas (humble surrender): the soul approaches Pati (Śiva) through reverence, devotion, and receptive inquiry, inviting Śiva’s grace.
The verse models Saguna-upāsanā: the devotee/sage responds to Śiva as a personal Lord—bowing with folded hands—an attitude also central to Linga worship where devotion, humility, and prayerful dialogue are primary.
Practice śravaṇa and vandana: listen to Śiva-kathā, then offer pranāma with joined palms (añjali) and speak a sincere prayer or question; this can accompany japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” even when rudrākṣa or bhasma are not explicitly mentioned.
