Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: liberating
It stresses the rarity of a true yogic, Shiva-centered human birth and teaches that when realization is secured in this very life, liberation becomes certain—attained as the soul departs the body.
In the Kotirudra context (Jyotirlinga glory), Saguna Shiva worship—Linga-darshana, mantra, and pilgrimage—purifies the bound soul (paśu) and ripens it for Shiva-realization, so that at death it reaches the supreme state rather than returning to rebirth.
The takeaway is steady Shiva-yoga: regular japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), meditation on Shiva (often through the Linga), and a disciplined life that makes liberation assured at life’s end.
