Kumāra’s Departure to Mount Krāuñca
देवादिप्रार्थनां तां च शिवाज्ञासंकुलां गुरुः । न मेने स कुमारो हि महाहंकारविह्वलः
devādiprārthanāṃ tāṃ ca śivājñāsaṃkulāṃ guruḥ | na mene sa kumāro hi mahāhaṃkāravihvalaḥ
Ngunit ang Gurong iyon, si Kumāra, ay hindi tinanggap ang pagsusumamo ng mga diyos—bagaman may taglay na utos ni Śiva—sapagkat nililigalig siya ng matinding pagkamakasarili at hindi niya ito pinansin.

It highlights that even a request backed by divine authority becomes ineffective when the recipient is overwhelmed by ahaṅkāra; Shaiva teaching emphasizes humility and surrender to Śiva as the purifier of ego.
Śiva’s ājñā represents Saguna Śiva’s gracious governance of the world; honoring that command through Linga-bhakti trains the devotee to relinquish ego and align the will with Śiva.
Regular japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a humble sankalpa, along with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as reminders to subdue pride, is the practical takeaway.
