Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Significance: Frames the phala-śruti: correct performance yields kṛtakṛtyatā (life’s fulfillment), iha-sukha (worldly well-being) and paratra-gati (post-mortem auspicious destiny), a standard Purāṇic articulation of bhukti-mukti under Śiva’s grace.
The verse states that properly performing the prescribed Śaiva practice makes a person kṛtakṛtya—one who has completed the true purpose of human life—enjoying legitimate well-being here and attaining Śiva’s auspicious spiritual destination hereafter.
In the Koṭirudrasaṃhitā, the promised ‘gati’ is tied to devoted worship of Lord Śiva as worshipped through the Liṅga/Jyotirliṅga—Saguna Śiva accessible to devotees—through which grace is received and the soul is led toward liberation.
It points to completing the chapter’s prescribed Śiva-sādhana—typically Liṅga/Jyotirliṅga worship with mantra-japa (such as the Pañcākṣarī), along with purity disciplines like bhasma/tripuṇḍra and devotional observances—done correctly and with faith.
