Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Mantra: bhūḥ svāhā (as part of the threefold vyāhṛti/ṛk sequence for pūrṇāhuti)
Type: gayatri
Shakti Form: Gaurī
Role: teaching
Cosmic Event: Daily solar cycle emphasis: sustained japa through aparāhṇa, aligning practice with diurnal rhythm
It teaches disciplined completion of sacred action (pūrṇāhuti) followed by sustained mantra-japa; in a Shaiva Siddhanta frame, such purified, attentive practice refines the soul (paśu) and prepares it for Shiva-oriented devotion and liberating knowledge.
Though it mentions Vedic oblation and Gāyatrī, the intent is the same discipline used in Saguna Shiva worship—finishing offerings correctly and maintaining steady japa—supporting inner purity and focus that can be directed to Linga-pūjā and Shiva-mantra sadhana.
Offer the concluding full oblation with the prescribed Vedic recitation (“Bhūḥ svāhā” as part of the threefold formula), then continue Gāyatrī japa diligently until afternoon—emphasizing sustained, uninterrupted mantra practice.
