तं सखायः पुरोरुचं यूयं वयं च सूरयः । अश्याम वाजगन्ध्यं सनेम वाजपस्त्यम् ॥

táṃ sakhāyaḥ purorúcaṃ yūyáṃ vayáṃ ca sūríyaḥ | aśyā́ma vā́jagandhyaṃ sané́ma vā́japastyam ||

That radiant-forerunner, O friends—you and we, the illumined—may we attain him; may we win the fragrance of plenitude of force, may we conquer the home and foundation of that plenitude.
