Description of the Pushpaka Vimana and Ravana’s Inner Palace
धूम्रामगरुधूपेन विमलां हंसपाण्डुराम्।चित्रां पुष्पोपहारेण कल्माषीमिव सुप्रभाम्।।5.9.28।।
dhūmrām agarudhūpena vimalāṃ haṃsapāṇḍurām |
citrāṃ puṣpopahāreṇa kalmāṣīm iva suprabhām ||5.9.28||
May bahagyang usok dahil sa insenso ng agaru, subalit nanatiling dalisay at kaputian ng sisne; naging makulay sa mga handog na bulaklak, at nagningning nang marilag—gaya ni Kalmāṣī, ang bantog na bakang nagbibigay ng ninanais.
It was smoky with fumes of agaru incence though spotless like a swan. It was colourful and radiant like Kamadhenu, the wish-fulfilling cow, because of the offering of flowers.
Outer signs of purity (white, fragrant, flower-offerings) do not guarantee inner righteousness; Satya requires seeing beyond ritualized beauty to ethical truth.
Hanumān observes the atmosphere of the chamber—incense smoke, whiteness, and floral decoration.
Vigilance—maintaining alertness and not being misled by pleasing sensory cues.
