ततस्स सान्त्वयामास सुग्रीवं लक्ष्मणाग्रजः।स्त्रीहेतोर्वालिना भ्रात्रा निरस्तमुरुतेजसा।।।।
tatassa sāntvayāmāsa sugrīvaṃ lakṣmaṇāgrajaḥ | strīhetor vālinā bhrātrā nirastam urutejasā ||
Pagkatapos, si Rāma—ang nakatatandang kapatid ni Lakṣmaṇa—ay umaliw kay Sugrīva, na pinalayas ng sarili niyang kapatid na si Vāli, makapangyarihan, dahil sa alitan hinggil sa isang babae.
